We’re Hiring: Senior Electrician

Are you a highly skilled electrician looking for job security, professional pride, and a company that values getting the job done right the first time?

Established in 2003, SCI Management Ltd is a Midlands-based industry leader serving the industrial, commercial, and specialist property markets across the UK. We are the go-to, end-to-end provider for consultancy, design, installation, and ongoing maintenance.

When you join SCI, you join a preferred supplier with a rock-solid reputation. You will work on diverse, high-quality projects—from core electrical systems to networking, audiovisual, automation, and CCTV solutions—for schools, property owners, developers, and interior designers.

The Role

As our full-time, on-site Senior Electrician, you will lead from the front. You will be responsible for executing complex electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work while providing vital technical guidance to your team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Install & Maintain: Lead and carry out the planning and installation of electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and niche property environments.
  • Diagnose & Resolve: Troubleshoot faults efficiently, test and commission installations, and conduct scheduled servicing and corrective work.
  • Lead & Coordinate: Provide technical mentorship to junior team members while coordinating seamlessly with project managers and clients.
  • Integrate Systems: Support the integration of related technologies, including networking, automation, and CCTV.
  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold the highest safety and regulatory standards, maintain accurate documentation, and manage smooth project handovers.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Certifications: Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds or equivalent). 18th Edition or a similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Proven Experience: Strong, hands-on background in industrial and commercial electrical work, including installations, system upgrades, and equipment replacement.
  • Technical Expertise: A background in electrical engineering (or equivalent technical training) with the ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve faults safely.
  • Leadership: Experience leading or mentoring junior electricians, paired with strong communication skills.
  • Mobility: A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel to regional client sites as required.
  • The Right Attitude: A quality-focussed approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a strict commitment to health and safety.
